First thing you will do in 4.3?

I plan to check out the Darkmoon Faire, play some games, and start working towards earning enough tickets for the Darkmoon Bear mount and maybe some armor replicas for transmogrification. Still interested to see if any of the patch changes actually amount to notable differences in F2P BGs.



I briefly read some of the class changes... a few of the things I noticed, but have absolutely no idea if they will have any impact on gameplay whatsoever:



Druid bear form, Fire Mages, and Survival Hunters seemed to get decently buffed, while Wind Shear going from a 6 sec cooldown to 15 seconds definitely seems like a "nerf" for the Shaman crowd.



Anything I missed? What are you guys looking forward to?
 
There's a lot of prot paladins in our bracket and they've been pretty much buffed too because of the vengeance changes.

  • Vengeance for Protection warriors, Protection paladins, Blood death knights, and Feral druids has been redesigned slightly. It no longer ramps up slowly at the beginning of a fight. Instead, the first melee attack taken by the tank generates Vengeance equal to 33% of the damage taken by that attack. In addition, as it updates periodically during the fight, it's always set to at least 33% of the damage taken by the tank in the last 2 seconds. It still climbs from that point at the rate it did previously, still decays when damage is not taken, and still cannot exceed a maximum based on the health and Stamina of the tank.

Basically a third of your damage done a prot pally gets as raw attack power. This applies to druids and warriors, but anyone who runs a bear druid or protection warrior in this bracket needs to get their head checked.



It's a formidable attack boost for prot paladins. You explosive shot/templar's verdict/blood thirst a paladin, they get 100-150 atp

Prot warrior does well...
 
Prot warrior gains vengeance in Defensive Stance. Not battle stance. Charge makes warriors viable, it's the only gap-closer they have. One could argue that paladins don't have a gap closer, but they have self healing and solid ranged damage.





When it comes to actual, twinking, and competitive play, <---- I can not stress this enough since it's twink info and everything WILL be taken out of context and over analyzed into the ground. Fury is the only viable warrior spec in this bracket, anyone who says otherwise hasn't played a warrior in this bracket.
 
:YEP: PROT IS TOTALLY NOT VIABLE FOR ANYTHING, YOU DONT GET EXTRA STAMINA AND YOU DONT GET ANY USEFUL ABILITIES LIKE SHIELD SLAM. RUNNING THE FLAG ISN'T WHAT WSG IS ALL ABOUT ANYWAY, EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT
 
Exactly. I'm going prot because I want a toon with a lot of health for running around with a healer + flag. That's literally the only thing that causes our premades losses sometimes. dem hunter fcs.
 
Druids and Paladins are better flag carriers; maybe. Prot Warriors are viable; definitely. Sha makes fire mages work; Insects, Cer and Shft make boomkins work; Sanseacabo and I can make spriests work. It's not always about playing the most viable spec.
 
Yeah, isn't Will the one that was talking about playing a warrior even though it was gimp and proving to everyone it could work? Talk about irony..

And I may be the worst f2p poster, but it's the worst twinking community, so I might as well do my best haha. I thought I saw cat fights in the 19 bracket. F2P Twink Info is like watching the same episode of "Flavor of Love" over and over again.

If this bracket is so awful please leave. Speaking of cat fights? Even cats know enough not to shit where they eat.
 
On topic - I'm bummed about the wind shear nerf. IMO HoJ needs a shorter duration - at least halved in PvP like a few other CCs.



4.3 - meh - to me it's hard to get excited when the xpac/5.0 is looming and it will change things significantly for character builds in this bracket.
 
you guys are such a bunch of fags. will didn't even say anything dumb or inaccurate, prot warriors DO suck, and he made a good point about only getting vengeance in d-stance. yeah, this guy has made stupid posts in the past, but all i see now is people flaming him every time he says anything for no reason



and why would you get mad at him for pointing out the truth that this bracket sucks? it's plagued by absurdly overpowered hunters, unbelievably bad players, no organization whatsoever, and a horrible faction imbalance. you guys don't even do arena. we've got probably 200 f2ps on AP horde, and we get arena games like once a week. pathetic



this bracket blows and the people who play in it suck ass. the only reason why anyone is playing in it is because it's free. be honest with yourself, and maybe you'll start being honest with other people and stop holding imaginary things against them
 
He's being flamed for "Fury is the only viable warrior spec in this bracket." Prot as an FC is very "viable." It's just not the best spec. You don't actually like or do WSG but if you end up facing a premade with an FC - you pretty much end up needing a prot warrior or a prot paladin because guess what, no one is going to kill the other EFC until 7+ stacks. At 7+ stacks it doesn't matter what your mitigation is (unless you're a 24 prot pally) it just matters how many globals your healers get before you topple over. To that end, prot warriors offer the MOST globals and they become a useful tool. He's not being flamed for being an idiot (which I'm not convinced he isn't) - he's being flamed because he thinks so much of himself and unlike most of the people I consider good in this bracket I only have his words to go by. Everyone else EXCEPT him - I have seen in a BG or arena or duel.



However, everything else you said is straight on. This bracket sucks, the only reason I play is because it is free and there are some cool people on AP and the fact that we get arena once a week. IF YOU WANT TO GET GOOD AT THIS GAME PLAY ARENA PLEASE f2p TWINKERS. IF YOU DONT YOU WILL NEVER BE GOOD. ktnx.

Also, Will's post makes it sound like a prot warrior is trying to do damage. If you are doing damage as a prot spec, go kill yourself and let someone with a real DPS spec join the BG. I can do infinitely more on a ret paladin, fury warrior, BOOMKIN, feral druid then you can with a prot anything.
