AHH! Which 1h Wep to choose?

Hey guys. I'm currently debating over which item I should choose for my twink prot pally. I've seen two different prot pally twinks with the exact same gear minus the weapon. This is gonna be laughable but does shadowfang offer any benefit? I was reading Elliot's guide for prot pallies (a big outdated) and he recommended shadowfang/butcher's slicer for BiS.

Also can I mention: What about for a ret pally who switches from a 2h to 1h and shield in certain scenarios? Since this will be my off-spec.

if ur switching too two hands use boa axe with crusader and are u healing or what ? or are u dpsing as prot or fcing ? if u are healing go with the resil boa mace and if you are fcing go with the parry sword boa, if ur using prot as a dps spec use protectors sword

Thanks for the response. Do you have any idea why I see some prot warriors and some prot paladins using shadowfang as their wep? Is it just for a classy look or is there actually some meaning behind that agility?

no its not about the agility its because it has the higest dps (or overall damage) in the bracket that is obtainable atm, if ur on a budget then use protectors sword if u have 50$ or 100kg then you should get the shadowfang if not go with protectors sword or the boa parry sword

ur gonna see at most a few % dps diff between sfang and, say, wsg sword



and prot paladins do poop for dmg to begin with so its insignificant

I have a shadowfang and I can get the BoA sword those are the 2 I'm narrowed down to. For DPS you think shadowfang is best and for tanking you think the BoA parry sword is best?

yes just use boa sword or protectors sword get bouth and decide which one you like better dont youse shadowfang on a pally tho save it
