Spell Hit Cap

Hey guys, what are some sets you're all using to hit cap? I was thinking about using spidersilk drape, lavishly jeweled ring, and slippers of unturned loyalties. I've seen a lot of people using +5hit to boots, is it worth giving up the minor speed? Thanks ;)

Xehedakigam @ Aggramar - Game Guide - World of Warcraft this is for CC-mage, can't think of any better way atm. Though this wouldn't be good for any other class/spec.

You should take into consideration that Hovel Digger Bands also is a great way to use in order to hit cap.

These are the options I see:

1. Hovel Digger Bands + Spidersilk Drape + 5 hit boots
2. Spidersilk Drape + Lavishly Jeweled Ring + Slippers of the Unturned Loyalites
3. Use GsoJ (not too good) + Lavishly Jeweled Ring + Hovel Digger Bands.
 
This is for my mage, my CC set is the same as yours except with a mystic's robe and seal of sylvanas. I'm trying to figure out what set to use for fire though. Thanks alot :p
 
fires not to great, i would advise arcane or frost, a hell of a lot more utility, burst and CC

If you are rolling for CC I dont see why you would say GSoJ is "not too good". If you are CCing isnt one of the main things you must do in order to CC is being alive?

unless ofc you are meaning for different classes/specs/rolls

alright thanks, I've been fooling around with arcane, I haven't tried frost yet though. Does it put out decent damage with a sp/crit build? Or should I just stick to my CC build.

When I said "not too good" I was speaking generally for spellcasters, I myself ever roll with GsoJ in my CC-gear so ofc it's not shit :D

Let me just say that if you go frost for dmg-purpose you'll be very disappointed.
 
It really depends on situation. Sometimes frost can work for damage but other times your more of an asset to the team by ccing.

Here's what I use on my firemage. Obv add in cloth boa, crit boa shoulders, boa chest, boa weapon + intellect trink. It's around 24,5% crit chance, with ~200 fire SP. Have a second pair of boots for minor speed, they will come in use every now and then. This char is horde only

Another way to hitcap for a factioned character, only thing I would change here is stendels band -> Dread pirate ring and Hovel diggers -> Mindthrust, but Dread pirate ring is a bitch to obtain I've heard :p
 
i really don't understand for what do you want to get full hit cap (11 rating), anyways your spells always will have chance for resist and you can't do anything with this shit

you do what you can and you can cap hit

except resists will be taken out of the game in MoP and its just bugged in the prepatch
