How do underpowered classes keep sane?

I think too many people hate on hunters saying people play them because they are bad and cant play anything else. I'm not arguing with anyone that they are OP in this bracket because they are but I play a hunter because I genuinely love the class my main at 90 is a hunter as well its where I feel comfortable and enjoy the game isn't that what matters when playing for fun?

Yeah its completely fine to ruin everybody else´s fun as long as you have fun atleast. Thanks for reminding me why the majority of people plays pvp...or for that matter, this bracket.

I don't see any problems on my warlock

everybody else´s = you?

majority fun is playing OP classes.

Me for example like to play warrior and retpala but they dont have as much utility as hunter.
And when u have a bracket full of casters its hard to have fun as melee class without abilitys to keep up with them.

Ummm ok...so im suppose to base what character I play on what other people view as "fair" and not what I enjoy simply because some classes are more OP than others? Thats silly its a game you play it to have a good time which means play whatever class you like I was just simply stating that some people play the class because its just what they enjoy not because they are bad or have no skill if other people are ruining your game experience by what they choose to play PVP might not be for you. I have seen numerous people in this bracket of almost every class that are great players and my guess is its because they genuinely enjoy what they are playing and have taken the time to really get to know thier class not as many classes are as UP as alot of people think around here IMO

Ive been playing with a warlock lately and i'm not going to lie... It's pretty terrible, but it is an extremely fun class that has amazing potential. sure I die a lot but it's simply too fun and I guess that what helps me to play it personally.

Back on toppic . Ill just give you a little story of me as demo a few game ago .

A not so long time ago in a gultch far far away .......Jk . A anyway there was a hunter that was going 23-0 with 2.2 k health . he saw me mid field solo running to efc . In his brain I would have imagined he was seeing a neon hk sign pointing right at me . As he pranced towards me I started to Los at ally zerk. hut I start by fearing the pet he sent in . Demo leap behind him as he comes around corner and feared him . Emediately casting fear again and catching him as soon as he trinks . I throw on hand curuption shadowbolt and another hand . Soon as he is out I voidwalker disarm . After burning all my void walkers energy I insta summon my sucbus and dump all of that energy . The disarm is up and he pops Agm and unloads some focus on me . As I cast fear again he stuns . But alas my lovely sucubus seduces him . Fear pet and bandage . The. Fear hunter . Run out of range as his Agm expires I h load another dose of sucubus lashes and kill him . Yes he proceeded to make it his goal to farm me the rest of the game and spit spam me every time . But it's ok cause it made my week and that's why I play demo lock now instead of Druid .

Just to continue derailing!

I combine my focus/mouseover scatter into one macro. Priority is an enemy focus target. If you have no focus or a friendly focus (I like to set a DPS to assist sometimes) it'll target your mouseover). If there's only one healer around and I have a pretty good idea of who I'm scattering, I'll focus them as I engage.

#showtooltip Scatter Shot
/stopcasting
/stopcasting
/cast [@focus,exists,harm][@mouseover,exists,harm,nodead] Scatter Shot
/startattack

I don't know if they changed it in the past few patches, but when I started playing hunter you needed 2 /stopcastings. The first one only stopped your autoshot, not steady shot. It's probably not necessary, but that's why I put the startattack in at the end when I scatter someone I'm not attacking.

But yeah, it can get frustrating playing classes that depend on friendly healers. Sometimes you're going to have hopeless games where you just can't do anything. If you approach those well and accept that they'll happen (or have a quick /afk trigger finger) the tougher classes can be really rewarding to play.

Mage and Warlock are my favorite classes at the time. It is true, that you get in games where you want to stab your eyes out. Just so you don't have to watch the misery. At that point it's a good idea to take a break.

BUT it is all worth it for the games where it's just so much fun. I feel like as a mage/warlock you have so many possibilities how you can make a mistake. That makes it extra rewarding if you get it right. It is just a glorious feeling if you see the enemy healer in sheep/fear while his fc gets killed. Or you imagine the dumb face of the paladin you just counterspelled. Or you Kamikaze into the enemies to frost-nova them while your fc gets away. You constantly hover over your blink in anticipation of a warrior charge or a rogue ambush.

Two days ago I joined a game with my team behind 1:2. I see a warrior in mid with the enemy flag. We aparently have no healers. He dies by the time I reach him. I pick up the flag. Nova our pursuers. Blink and blazing speed away. Trinket roots. Pop a health potion. Take tunnel boots. I cap the flag winning the game 2 seconds before the game is over, with about 50 HP left.

You don't need to make a modifier focus macro. Theres an option in the interface to set a focus cast key, like alt for self casting.

Will work as long as modifier + key isn't bound to anything else

1 stopcasting is enough to stop both auto and steady. What do you do with your macro when you want to @mouseover scatter shot with an enemy focused but out of range or LoS? Since the first portion is true, that would nullify the @mouseover portion of the macro and it will attempt to Scatter the focus (causing an error since you can't scatter that person). Do you have another bind if you want to scatter mouseover rather than the focused enemy?

#showtooltip Scatter Shot
/stopcasting
/cast [@mouseover, exists, harm, nodead][@focus, exists, harm] Scatter Shot
/startattack

That would correct it so as long as you don't mouseover while you are scattering, the focus enemy will be attacked IF IN RANGE OR LOS, but you won't get issues trying to @mouseover just because the focus goes LoS or ranges you.

On topic, as someone who enjoys playing specializations considered underpowered (fury, affliction, etc) and prefers to self-impose nerfs on overpowered toons (hunters), I find that playing underpowered/nonoverpowered specs definitely gives you good reason to learn how to best utilize your CC and positioning (and swiftness potions) to aid your team and sometimes your life.

Well timed stuns, fears, and interrupts can completely affect the outcome of the game. Sure it might be more fun for some people to top charts in kills or damage, but UP toons fill an important role in bettering one's play and expanding one's vision of the game. If you don't, you die and your team hates you even more than when they all /lol and /spit at you for not rolling an OP class.

I find if you can do damage, you are more focus on damage and not what needs to be done to win games. I've maybe had top damage twice in the past 6 months across all my toons, not because I couldn't but because all my damage-hungry teammates take 5-10 minutes to fight in mid before going for flag while I sit in enemy base waiting. If you wonder why the flag hasn't been returned or you aren't winning despite having 10 KBs, you are probably the reason why.
