Vent Your Frustrations II

I asked if a GM would possibly give me an item swap...it failed...now I have to get a new panda out of Wandering Isle

It been said before, but I'll say it again in the hope that it might get through to some more people.... FCs with low HP trying to be a hero when there are more suitable FCs right next to them asking for the flag. A recent example: F2P hunter with 1.4k HP takes flag from under the nose of lvl 24 with 3k HP. We had a good group to support FC (5 or so) all /i and /s to pass flag. Said hunter either didn't notice, ignored or had no idea how to pass flag, and then ran into mid and was killed almost instantly on entering combat.

As soon as I get a 3 game win streak and rank up, I get the world's worst draw and lose horribly. it's happened five times in a row now. RNG my ass.

Sorry. Hearthstone rant...

During WSG CTA I've seen a few rogues sitting AFK above the enemy GY, presumably to get the extra honor points. Zero damage. Not cool. If you can't be bothered to play, don't queue or at least get a bot that might actually contribute to the team.

I like the extra honor earned from CTA, but I refuse to use my toons that aren't in at least BiS dungeon gear. I'm still not a big fan of WSG and even with the extra honor its barely worth my time since I'm not having as much fun, and I see it more of a duty. I want to play Arathi Basin but the queue time are >45mins. During CTA there are much more steamroll premades, since there are more players with bad gear like me just trying to get my looms.

Last WSG CTA, I couldn't even be bothered to attempt to get 90 honor from a win on 1/4 of my toons. I prefer DMF and hope soon I can get some toons to the point were I feel they would do semi decent in BGs.

When one of your toons has all the gear you need in another toon while that one other toon has the gear for the other....

Quality of the players. I guess this is not really frustrating, because I've adjusted to 90% of the players in the bracket being awful.

So I was checking my email looking for a letter from my dad. And I had 3 emails from Blizzard that I didn't see since my email is so full of spam from Facebook. It reads,

Dear customer,

Because you are involved in the trading of gold and equipment, legitimately means playing with an unaltered game client. Doing otherwise violates our policies for Battle.net, and it goes against the spirit of fair play that all of our games are based on. We strongly recommend that you avoid using any hacks, cheats, bots, or exploits. Suspensions and bans of players that have used or start using cheats and hacks.

If you ignore this mail your account can and will be closed permanently.

I had only gotten my full acct back when I made my trial acct, but I didn't really want to play catch up with regards to being so far behind people with gear. Hopefully I can get it sorted out, if not I'm not going to make another full acct. This is the second time it has been hacked, and at least this time Blizzard might have gotten somebody in trouble. But if all they have done is send me a few emails I doubt the culprits received any penalty or are even known. I hate hackers so much right now.

You can go in your Facebook settings and turn off email notifications. :)

This sounds a lot like the fake phishing email I got a while back. Are you sure this is legit? Have you tried accessing your account and confirmed that it's banned? If you haven't responded or given them any information yet you may still be fine, otherwise you might have a problem.

EDIT: Yeah it's fake, check this out: Violates our policies for Battle.net

Hope you didn't give them any information, if you did you should probably change your info or contact Blizzard ASAP.

Yeh luckily I haven't given any info out. That was exactly the email I got, the link in your post. I tried to use the link in the email and it didn't work, Blizzard must have caught wind of the scam and put a stop to it. And I was still able to login to my old acct, I only just now remembered the password. I will be able to get it activated again, my toons are still in the armory, its just been a while so that is a relief. Cheers for letting me know about this. I also hope that not too many people gave up their info.

If you tried to click on an email link you should still check your computer for malware, some links can download keyloggers onto your computer without your knowledge if not blocked by anti-viral software.

In the future make sure to never follow any links in emails with questionable veracity. With blizz it should be pretty simple to weed out fakes, according to their customer service they NEVER send warnings, only bans and suspensions. If an email claims to be warning you by saying "stop now or we'll ban you," then it is fake. Another way to root out fake emails is the grammar; the English in that email may look ok if you don't really read through it, but it's actually pretty terrible. Real companies invest a lot of effort into sounding professional; if the grammar is suspect, the email probably is too.

Edit: also what Izec said. Change passwords and all that.

I was in a WSG PUG and someone on our team called the location of the EFC, then someone asked what EFC was.

/facepalm

(And no, they weren't jaja. After being called noob and worse, they claimed to have a lvl 90, which I think makes it worse.)
