Well, I can't confirm the drop myself, but the Adventure Guide shows that it does drop from him and that is practically a confirmation. You will need to set your loot specialization to guardian as that's the only druid spec the trinket will drop for, according to the Guide. And, yes, RNG is RNG...

Blizzard did something really wonky with the healing on that sword. For some reason, the regen amount for Warriors & DK's is based on INT. As a result, they get a much lower regen. With Paladins, however, it is based on STR which is why ret Paladins get a much higher regen.

Also, since arcane mage is a class that benefits quite well from mastery, a warforged version of Gug'rokk's Grandmother would be a better off-hand than Book of the Dead, IMO.
