Dungeon Tour: Season One

The Dungeon poll will be closed on January 6 (1 week after the thread was created)

We are still looking for some feedback:
When would you guys like the tournament to start?
We are debating whether all enchants should be banned, or just some. What do you guys think?

I would propose between Noblegarden and Midsummer, since that is the longest period of time between two world events that twinks can actively participate in (also plenty of time to prep a char until then).
If the main bracket for the event is gonna be 20, i would propose no enchants, due to the fact that normal gear for that level is ilvl 61; thus BfA enchants would be required and those are also more of a time investment metric rather than skill.

I would suggest just banning grandfathered enchants. I don't think any of the available enchants are too game-breaking at level 20.

Also, didn't see any mention of it, so I assume ooze and totem are allowed? Nevermind this would fall in bugged items ..

In parallel to the tournament itself, advise to create a lane for free run with any method without limit (bot/trinket/buff/enchant) to see what is possible. Just adding fun

Some of the BfA recipe enchants required to level bfa enchanting up to the point where you could enchant the good stuff are locked behind nazjatar trainers, but due to a bug they are available in boralus for ally only, thus not GF, but unavailable for a faction.
Second, and this is an argument based on my personal preference, I really dont wanna level enchanting on one more char...

Also, I would like to ask regarding the gear: I do understand WF items are banned, but how about normal epic items that drop as epic, like Sul'thraze, Dragon's Call or Circle of Flame?
Another question: Engineering banned or not?
Another question: Invisibility pots allowed? And on the same topic, how about consumables?

Sooo, like the last year Conzil stockade speed runs of 7.7 seconds?

WF not banned, just wonky written rules, only tert and socket upgrades are banned, wf upgrade is okay.

Will be announced soon, the goal is to be fairly f2p friendly, so a general rule of thumb is that if it’s hard to get as f2p, it’s prob banned.

I suggest adding to the rules that on top of showing equipped gear before the run, the player must show their talents.

Will we be able to switch gear sets and even take off gear during the run?
Are BoE items allowed?
If we happen to use a BC item with sockets by default, can we socket it with any gems or should there be a restriction to which gems can be used?

Are these following items allowed? :

https://www.wowhead.com/item=89682/oddly-shaped-horn
https://www.wowhead.com/item=113082/precious-bloodthorn-loop?bonus=6703 and any other gear items from WoD rares/chests that could potentially proc to Epic Quality (ilvl 57 for 20s) such as trinkets...

Also, if there are 2 dungeons in a tie to be the 8th dungeon, is it possible as a solution to exceptionally increase the number of dungeons to 9 in order to satisfy more people? (I really enjoy one of the dungeons :))

Any reason? the gear one is to check for banned gear, right now there is no plan to ban any talents.

yes, but has to be done manually so that we can tell if you switch to a banned item or not, or if you use a macro you gotta flash your equipment afterwards to show what was changed.

Are BoE items allowed?
If they follow all the current rules, yes.

No gf gems and no speed gems.

Consume list will come out soon.
For gear the trinket and neck break the speed on use effect gear rule.
Stealth ring will be allowed.

Precious Bloodthorn Loop and any other gear items from WoD rares/chests that could potentially proc to Epic Quality (ilvl 57 for 20s) such as trinkets...
That's fine.

There will only be 8 dungeons, even if they are tied. How we choose between ties is not decided yet. Which one is it you enjoy?

I didn't try to point about whether talents used by the player were allowed or not. What I meant is that I think it is important enough to know what talents are used in a run, thus I suggested to make them mandatory to be shown just for an informative purpose.

Generally speaking, I tend to prefer to play in older dungeons when I am playing as a F2P. Iron Docks is an open and bright dungeon and allows to mount. I like its aesthetic, the boss fights and the scenario of the dungeon. My interest declines with BfA and newer dungeons, not sure why but maybe they're just a little too recent for me to appreciate them again.

I get that, the rules are currently to check so there is no unfair advantage, we will have a discord server for the event where you can discuss with other contestants and they might even tell your their builds, but I don't think it should be mandatory to show off at start.

I really like the start of Halls of Atonement, so I rather see people do that one, but I get your point too.

Is it even possible for a lvl 20 rogue to solo dungeons without ooze or sland healing gems?
