Wow is built on an excel spreadsheet. Items found during mining means the items are still present in the game. Not being toggled to be available is probably a reasonable step, if this is a temporary game they are doing. It's also a signal they are departing from the trend they have set with classic Wow releases thus far. Cata classic inc, on it's own client, replacing Wotlk. MoP coming to Retail wow, as a side game like Plunderstorm.

Does this mean no plans for MoP classic? Or does this mean a new method for creating a 'classic' experience, without committing to a separate game client. Having these clients creates issues, which is something they are probably interested in solving.

My problems with this event include:
It's temporally.
It's purpose is to level characters and grind cosmetics.
Not fan of gem effects that has nothing to do with wow classes thematically. Utility skills from other classes are cool but weird fire, frost and lightning effects are lame.

Imagine if this was permanent with rotating expansions including Legion, BfA and Shadowlands (leveling zones and first tier were great in SL).

You can't to my knowledge. I got to Kalimdor, but the game teleports you back within a few seconds. That said, I don't think that will be a problem as once you reach lvl 19/20, just stop leveling until the event ends and the character rejoins the normal timeline.

Idk if you guys have been playing SoD but Im personally convinced with the Xalatath going ons and now this MoP remix, SoD is just going to be rolled into retail when its done and Im kinda wondering what level might go down to 20 (60 became 25 previously) and if there's any cool, SoD exclusive stuff for BGs that might be bought over
